When I sit down with someone like Gary Kiss, I am not looking for another health trend or another gadget promising to solve every problem. I'm looking for foundational principles. The things that make everything else work better.
Our conversation kept bringing me back to one simple realization: before we talk about supplements, nutrition, detoxification, or even advanced regenerative therapies, we need to understand communication inside the body.
Every cell in your body is constantly sending and receiving information. When that communication is clear, the body knows what to do. It repairs, restores, adapts, and heals. When those signals become distorted, systems begin to lose coherence, and eventually symptoms appear.
That is why I found Gary's work around biophotons so fascinating.
We often think of light as something we simply see. In reality, light is information. It is communication. It is one of the most fundamental forces that governs life itself.
The more I study biology, the more I realize that everything comes back to signaling. Minerals signal. Hormones signal. Neurotransmitters signal. Even our thoughts influence signaling. Health is not simply about having enough nutrients. It is about whether your body can correctly communicate what to do with them.
This is why I continually return to the basics.
Most people are searching for the next biohack while overlooking the foundation. We have more health technology than ever before, yet many people have less energy, poorer sleep, higher stress, and more nervous system dysfunction than previous generations.
Something isn't adding up.
One topic Gary and I spent a lot of time discussing was the nervous system. In my experience, restoration cannot happen if the body remains trapped in a chronic fight-or-flight state.
You can take excellent supplements, eat quality food, and follow a great protocol, but if your nervous system never shifts into a restorative state, your body simply cannot perform the way it was designed to.
That is why I have always believed that true health is about creating the right environment for the body to do what it already knows how to do.
We also discussed something I think many people overlook today: our environment.
Our ancestors lived much closer to nature. They spent more time outdoors, experienced natural sunlight throughout the day, grounded themselves without realizing it, and were not surrounded by constant electromagnetic stimulation.
Today's world is very different.
We spend countless hours indoors under artificial lighting, surrounded by wireless technology, constant notifications, and endless stress. Whether we fully understand every mechanism or not, it is reasonable to ask how this modern environment influences the body's ability to function optimally.
That is a conversation worth having.
One point I appreciated from Gary was that technology should not replace nature. At its best, technology should help reconnect us with principles that have always existed.
The sun remains one of the greatest examples of that.
Everything on Earth ultimately depends on solar energy. Plants convert it into life. Food stores it. Our bodies respond to it. Our circadian rhythms depend on it. Life itself has always been connected to light.
That perspective reminds us that health is often far simpler than we make it.
We also touched on something I speak about often: coherence.
When your thoughts, nervous system, emotions, and biology are working together instead of competing with one another, you think more clearly. You recover faster. You make better decisions. You handle stress without becoming consumed by it.
That state of coherence cannot be purchased in a bottle.
It is cultivated through intentional living.
It comes from quality nutrition, proper minerals, restorative sleep, movement, meaningful relationships, time in nature, managing stress, and giving your body the raw materials it needs to perform as it was designed.
Health is never built by chasing symptoms.
It is built by supporting the systems that create health in the first place.
My biggest takeaway from this conversation is that we should spend less time searching for shortcuts and more time strengthening our foundation.
Whether we are talking about minerals, detoxification, light, nervous system regulation, or regenerative technologies, they all point toward the same principle.
The body was created with remarkable intelligence.
Our job is not to force healing.
Our job is to remove interference, provide the right inputs, and allow that intelligence to express itself.
When we understand that, health becomes far less about fighting disease and far more about restoring function.
That is where real longevity begins.
